Dental x-rays are important to make a proper diagnosis. It is recommended that 4 check-up (bitewing) x-rays be taken once a year to check for cavities/abnormalities. If we see an area of concern, either on your check-up x-rays or in your mouth, we likely will take an x-ray that allows us to see the entire root of your tooth. At Park Ridge Dental Plaza, we use digital x-rays, which have less radiation and provide quick, clear images of your teeth. We also have intraoral cameras, which allow us to share our findings with you more readily. If you are pregnant, it is very important you inform your dentist prior to any imaging/dental treatment.
